Henkel wanted to transform its global corporate website into a future-ready platform that connects its diverse brands, businesses, and audiences under one cohesive experience. The aim was to build a modular, scalable system that highlights Henkel’s innovation, sustainability, and leadership, while serving millions of visitors worldwide.
How can we create a global digital flagship that brings together Henkel’s business units, investor relations, sustainability goals, and employer branding in one flexible and modern platform? Halfway through the project, Henkel launched a major rebranding, which meant rethinking and refining our designs to align with the new visual identity.
The concept phase started with multiple workshops with Henkel’s global stakeholders to define business goals and user needs. Together, we developed concepts and wireframes that focused on clear navigation, modular content blocks, and a robust design system. We also planned for the flexibility needed to pivot the design when the new brand launched mid-project.
Throughout concept, design, and roll-out, we collaborated closely with Henkel’s internal teams, regional editors, and technical partners. We created a detailed design system and an extensive playbook to help local editors build pages that stay true to the new brand while serving regional content needs.
